As part of the special campaign being run by the Department of Information and Public Relations, the cultural troupe sponsored by the department created awareness through songs and music in Majhvad and Upper Pandoh of Sadar Assembly constituency today. The artists of the troupe provided information about various schemes launched by the state government for the upliftment and welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Minority Communities and Women.
The artists of the troupe gave detailed information to the gathered people about ambitious schemes like Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana, Indira Gandhi Balika Suraksha Yojana, Widow Remarriage and Chief Minister Sukh Ashray. Along with this, information was also given about other schemes being run by the government like Old Pension Scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Self Employment Scheme, Rajiv Gandhi E-Taxi Scheme, Home Grant Scheme, Computer Training to Scheduled Caste children and stipend of Rs. 1500 per month and Rs. 5000 on inter-caste marriage.
The Pradhan of the concerned Panchayat and other Panchayat representatives were also present on this occasion.
